Child Care Resource and Referral is part of the statewide Child Care Resource and Referral Network.
The CCR&R Network is administered by AWI's Office of Early Learning. The Office of Early Learning operates a variety of programs that support quality early care and education, and work/family solutions for the families of Florida. Headquartered in Tallahassee, the Office of Early Learning serves as the hub of the CCR&R Network of local child care resource and referral agencies located throughout the state.
Local CCR&R's offer free information and referral services to all families seeking quality early care and school readiness programs and out of school time solutions. CCR&R's also assist in the recruitment, startup and support of providers and promote quality, availability and affordability of services available in their communities.
The CCR&R Network maintains the only comprehensive statewide database of child care, school readiness and school age programs and service providers.

Families may reach a Child Care Resource Specialist by calling or visiting one of the various locations in the county. The Specialist gathers information about the parent's child care needs including location, ages of children, type of care and any other specific request. This information is put into the database and the computer generates a non-biased list of child care options that match their needs. This printed list can be mailed, emailed, faxed or picked up.
In addition to the customized list of child care providers, we provide parents with information on:
  •   how to proceed with their child care search
  •   how to choose quality child care
  •   how to review child care licensing files on providers
  •   the need to continue to monitor the child's care
  •   various types of subsidized child care programs, including School Readiness.
  •   how to apply for tax credits
  •   how to apply for low cost health Insurance through Florida Kid Care
